MOLINE -- Two people have been injured in flooding along the Rock River in Moline.
Authorities say a woman is in stable condition with hypothermia, and a firefighter sustained a strained knee.
Nearly 100 homes have been evacuated along the river because of rising waters. The Rock Island County sheriff's department issued a mandatory evacuation order.
The Rock River has risen nearly a foot and a half since Wednesday night. It crested above record flood stage of 16.2 feet.
Senator Barack Obama says his thoughts and prayers are with residents affected by the flooding. He says he's committed to working with state and local leaders to make sure recovery begins as soon as possible.
It's unclear when people will be let back into their homes.
